The following are the Resources which you will find either online or within the School Risk Assessor's Pack which will help you develop the skills to manage your School Risk Assessments and to provide records of how and when you were deemed to be a competent School Risk Assessor.

School Risk Assessment is deemed as a safety sensitive task for which it is most advisable to have competent staff appointed in writing and with records of the basis on which the employer deemed them competent.

8. Identifying Risk a Model System	This resource outlines what risks and hazards are and gives a simple method to quantify and prioritise the risks in a school.	The school needs some form of rational methodology to identify risks and to ensure that all risks are addressed appropriately. This system gives a clear and simple framework in which the risk assessor can work.

14. Contractors	One of the areas fraught with the greatest difficulty in Risk Assessment is the requirement to manage and to carry out Joint Risk Assessments with Contractors. This section covers the regulations and outlines what to do and when to do it.	The suggestion is made that if the school can avoid directly controlling contractors to do this. However the school will need to interface to any contractor on site to ensure the safety of its’ own staff and pupils and will still probably need to carry out a Joint Risk Assessment.
